It was an object on the wall of a parking house in a suburb-area in Prague. Theses days I’ve often allured by such kind of objects in the suburb area. In the middle of the sea of housings you will find some of them, however they are totally situated out of the perception in your daily life, though you pass by them everyday.  I’m not so much attached to the original intention of the artist of each such a object captured above: Anyway it looks like the eye. At least for me.

Maybe is it the eye of the „angel“? Is it an embodiment of  animism in the urban sphere. I could share this kind of animism strongly attaching to such a object with you? Anyway, I always believe to be evoked by the material revealing or the embodiment of some soul supposedly residing in our techno- and urban-sphere appearing like in the picture above. Probably it touches strongly my personal experience, through which I became to be convinced of that it rests on some „urban animism“. I would like undertake the further photographic investigation of these kind of objects to put it in question whether  it is a common experience always taking place in the material layers of the urban geography.

It’s not simple to say whether it touched the whole common basement of our urban „Bios“. However, we regularly acknowledge its omnipresence in the city like Prague, Kyoto, etc being made up of a variety of layers from their own long history as well as in the city like Berlin, New York etc. which have been developed first in the last couple of centuries. Next time I would deeply follow the objects strongly attached to the „urban animism“  by my own cameras.
